She is passionate about working with the community and works with several local groups and shelters to improve the welfare of less fortunate animals. She also brings a holistic approach to the practice through alternative medicine such as acupuncture. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughter Maddison, together they go running, hiking, biking and cross country skiing. She also has a furry child, a bouvier, named Phoebe.

Dr. Kate

Dr. Kate was raised in Barry’s Bay, Ontario and has always known she would pursue her passion to become a veterinarian. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario. She has since been working in small animal general practice and has a keen interest in surgery and emergency medicine.
Kate moved to the Haliburton Highlands in 2013 and thoroughly enjoys everything the area has to offer. She loves spending time outside, hiking, cycling, swimming, fishing and playing hockey and slow pitch softball. She also loves to read and spend time with her family.
Kate, her partner Ryan, son Ben and daughter Ava share their home with their dog named Maddison and two cats named Pekoe and Earl.
